About 'Cake Creations By Rhona'
Rhona's Cake Creations started out as my hobby. I have always enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for my family and friends and as can be seen from the photographs on this website, I have designed and created a range of cakes on a variety of themes for both adults and children.
I also produce cupcakes, either decorated with lavish icing and sprinkles of all kinds or on a theme such as Christmas or Easter or working to a specific colour scheme.
I am always interested in trying out new ideas and I can design highly detailed cakes on any theme and colour scheme you require. I am able to create a wide range of hand-crafted toppers to reflect any given hobby, interest, occasion or profession.
I aim to make each cake as personal and individual as possible and frequently craft highly detailed figures entirely from icing and sculpt them to be as close a representation of the recipient as possible.
Each cake I create is completely unique in design and is baked and decorated using only the highest quality ingredients. I use only free range eggs.
Types of cake include: madeira, lemon drizzle, coffee, fruit, chocolate and sponge.
Fillings include: jam and buttercream, lemon curd, coffee, milk and white chocolate, coconut, orange, banana, toffee, Turkish Delight, vanilla and strawberry flavours plus many more.
I hold the Level 2 qualification in Food Safety and Hygiene and my premises have been inspected and fully passed by Midlothian Council's Environmental Health Department.
When you buy one of my cakes, you can be sure that you are purchasing a bespoke, top quality talking point of a cake completely personal to the recipient that has been lovingly made with care and imagination and had many hours of time spent on creating it.
