Podiatry and Chiropody

Dealing with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the complete lower limb and foot, Podiatry has developed with Chiropody to become a medical specialty. Podiatry provides preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of patients with foot and lower limb conditions and injuries, whilst Chiropody is primarily concerned with the treatment of dermatological, nail and foot-related conditions. Podiatry should be your first port of call if you have a foot problem. You do not need a referral to seek a private consultation but if your GP wishes to be involved, we will happily contact them after your initial assessment.

Treatments

Our treatments benefit children and adults of all ages, who experience foot / lower leg pain and can benefit from improved posture as well as recreational or professional athletes. Whether you just want some help in cutting your nails, or you have problems such as verrucae, corns, calluses and hard skin or nail problems, our podiatrists will be happy to help. Our bio mechanical assessment and treatment service offers expert advice and the prescription of suitable insoles (orthoses) to clients suffering with high arches, flat or painful feet. Our specialist sports podiatry service can relieve and treat injuries such as shin splints, achillies tendonitis, calf strain and plantar fasciitis (arch pain), helping the recreational or elite level athlete avoid injury and maximise performance.

For diabetics there is a diabetic foot health service, and for those who are unable to travel to the clinic a home visiting service is available.
